OUR AMAZING BABY BOY....

This seems to be the post everyone has been waiting for. Cooper Wilson Emerick!!! He arrived July 22, 2008 at 3:07 pm, 18 inches long and 6 pounds 7 ounces. Now most of you know he wasn't due until Aug 8 but I was having some blood pressure issues so I went in for observation on July 21st. They said if it didn't go down they were going to induce me. we were actually kind of excited although I was a little nervous that the baby would have problems if that were the case. I am such a worry wart. It was kind of funny everytime my blood pressure would get better Corbin would be disappointed because we really wanted this kid out. I was an ornery wreck=)... Any way it ended up my blood pressure continued to rise and they decided they would start me at 6:00 pm on Monday with cervigel which I didn't understand would start contractions I thought it would just soften my cervix. All night I had contractions, not bad ones it just felt like pms. Then they decided they would start me with patocin(I have no idea how to spell it) at 6:00 am on tues. When that time came I was still only dialated to a one so they made me wait. They even almost sent me home. It was about that time when I started dialating. I was all of a sudden at a 4..This part is a little blurry for me. I think this is when my water broke and I sure as heck wanted the epideral. All I have to say is wow! Any one who doesn't have one is NUTSO...sorry if that is some of you. After my water broke they checked me again and I was at a 10, but the nurse had a worried look on her face. She said holy cow your at a 10, but I don't think that is a head. No thats a butt, let me get the doctor. So I started to cry and cry I knew that meant I would have to have a C-section after going through all of that. They rushed me in for an emergency C-section. Corbin got to watch the whole thing. When they pulled Cooper out he wasn't breathing as good as they wanted so they took him down to the NICU for a couple of hours. They just had to get some liquid in him and her perked right up. We were so happy. The recovery wasn't as bad as everyone made it sound but it wasn't a cake walk either. I was just really glad to have him out.. we won't be doing this again for at least 3 years....But we are so happy to have Cooper in our lives.

Peach Days

Last weekend I went with my parents up to Leslie and Brads for Peach Days. While we were there they had a carnival so we took the kids on a few rides. My nephew Carter would not ride Puff the Magic Dragon unless Leslie did. She was not about to get on so my dad said he would go with him. He said I'm glad no one knows me up here. Any way my dad got on and he actually enjoyed the ride. He said that is a little different than you expect. I guess when you get to a certain age they give you the same thrill as when you are young. He he what a good grandpa!!!

The Car Accident

On Memorial Day weekend Corbin and I decided we would go up to Brigham City to visit Leslie and Brad. We started out on Saturday and everything was going fine. I fell asleep and woke up to something other than as arriving. I woke up when I heard Corbin scream like a girl and all I could see was blurr. We were spinning across the freeway. This is how it happened... We were in the far left lane (the fast lane) it was a construction zone so the speed limit was 55 which is what we were going. The lines were kind of confusing because they had painted new ones all over the road I am sure you know what Imean. The girl that hit us was obviously WAY to close and she said she thought we were merging and came in to our lane and hit out right back side(going 85 mph) and it spun us across all three lanes of traffic and by some miracle we didn't hit any other cars. We just went through a fence and into a tree almost into a frontage road on the other side of the grassy part. Corbin didn't even think about anything else he jumped out and just started screaming at this girl. I had NO idea what had happened because I was asleep. I said to him Corbin come and see if I am ok. We laugh about it now. I couldn't get out because my door was totally jammed shut so I climbed out Corbins side and waited for the cops. Thank goodness I didn't go into labor. Leslie and Brad came and picked us up and I called my docotor. He said I needed to go to the hospital for observation to see if the uterus had pulled away from the uteran wall. Also he said if anything happens it usually happens the first 4 hours after the accident. So we went to Mckaydee Hospital in Ogden and just when we thought we were good to go I started having contractions. The doctor ordered a shot I don't remember the name but it is to stop contractions and it worked with just one dose. Then we were on our way. It was a long road to get everything back to normal. We had to get a rental and someone hit that car when Corbin took it up to the tracks train for jury duty and they just left. We had to have the rental car back on a tuesday and we found our car on Monday at 6 pm. . We were lucky because I was working in Payson and Corbo was working in Orem. It would have stunk with one car. Any way we are finally done with all of that mess...

So I am the worst blogger ever. I havn't blogged for 4 months and now I have a whole summer worth of stuff to blog. So here is goes. This is the one and only belly pic that I took. The only other day I thought about it was the day I went to the hospital. I had no Idea I would be coming home with a baby OUT!!! This was at 7 months...

It's been a while

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have done anything on our blog. When we moved we didn't have the internet anymore and we just got it. So I promise to work on it sometime this weekend and update the belly pics and update info about our baby. Please be patient with me=)

I know for a long time all I have had up is the picture of the baby growing. I never did write anything that says anything about it. Well back in December Corbin and I found out we are have a baby...We are due on August 8, 2008. We will be finding out what we are having in March and then I am going to put a poll up on names. So if you all want to give suggestions that would be great...
