The Day from heck!

On Thursday I was at work and Corbin was home with Cooper. Subway closes at 9:00 and I thought I would be home in time to spend a little time with my family. There was a wrestling weigh in at the Gunnison High School so it was super busy we did not have time to do anything to prepare for the close. A little after 8 Corbin called me and said that Cooper had fallen and hit his nose on the brick around the fireplace and sent me a picture that didn't look too bad. I still wanted to get home and snuggle because Cooper was extremely sad. 10 min to 9 guy came in with his wife and 4 kids his sister and her kids and his dad. He said  "Im sorry to do this I know you guys are about to close. So they order and take forever becuase they can't quit talking to each other to even order. Then a couple of ladies come in and are super snotty to us and stand there trying to decide for 5 min at 9:00 when we are suppose to close what they are going to eat. 5 after 9 a girl that works across the street (at a drive in so she is also in the food business) comes in and orders food. This same Drive in orders food ALL the time at closing. In the mean time the first family that knew we were closing sits and stays!! They let all the kids run around and climb on the tables and play at the windows and make a huge mess. Finally at 9:15 I got so ticked off that I turned the open sign off and put the food away hoping they would get the hint. Finally at 9:30 they left and stayed in the parking lot another 15 min. We didn't get out of there until 10:00 and we are suppose to be out by 9:15. So by the time I got home Cooper had been crying for 2 1/2 hours for his mom. I felt so bad I started to cry and it made me even more mad that some people have no consideration for others! Once I got home Cooper's nose was clogged with blood in both nostrils and bruised and swollen. It looked so bad!! Even today he now has a black eye and its started to scab over..He looks like and ork from Lord of the Rings! The poor kid....This is why it was the day from Heck!!

The Elk Farm

On our way to school each day we take the (short cut) behind gunnison and Centerfield to get to Ephraim. As we turn the corner there is a little elk farm that we pass. In the morning the elk are always way over on the other side where you can not see them. On the way home they are always right up by the fence and Cooper always says "I want to get out" :) He loves it and I think his dad loves it just as much!

pumpkin Carving

I had to work this night so I didn't get to have fun with everyone, but they all carved pumpkins and my brother-in-law carved a pumpkin upside down so he could be "pumpkin head harvey"! I got off work at 1030 and got home about 1045 and my bro in law hid behind a car in the driveway and ran out and scared me. I screamed SO loud it was sure scary!! Brat I will get him back one day.

Halloween 2010

Cooper is a dinosaur this year. One of his little friends said look an alligator..Lol some were calling him a dragon so whatever it was he had fun.. One of the girls that work there was dressed up like a dog and I asked who painted the pumpkin on your face? He said, " The dog did". lol I love the daycare there he has so much fun. He has a teacher named Miss Heather and he loves her. He struggled with day care at first but now he loves it because miss heather is there. Lol she is really cute and dotes on Cooper a lot! I love that he can make cute little friends there. . .

Cooper with his cousins

Cooper was getting in the bathtub and one by one they all decided they wanted to get in. LOL 5 little boys in the bathtub together. It was so Fun...Wendy's boys Grady and Connor are 1st & 3rd..Cooper is 2nd and jenny's boys are Ryker and Blake 4th & 5th.
Cooper is reading a story to Jason's Tyler..He has really been loving babies, granted everyone and thier dog is prego right now but not his mother! He seriously loves to talk and sing and read to babies. I love it he even takes babies with him to daycare. Miss heather asked me if were getting ready for another baby because when people give babies to thier kids to get them ready. No I assure we are not...Lol I didn't even know people did that.
Blake and Cooper reading together. I love it when they do this I love to see that they like to read. What a good activity for cousins to do together! Blake and Cooper are the best of buddies (most of the time) :)..

This...is how you know your little man is all tuckered out! I don't remember what was going on that day I think he was playing with grandma...She was either really boring or really fun by the looks of it...
We had a Happy #77 Birthday party for my Grandma Howell Francom. Here we are with all of the Grandkids except Kamrie Lou who was born later. Pics next! Cameron was freaking out because my uncle Brian has a big dog. LOL you can see he is the one on the top left trying to get away from his sister holding him there long enough for the picture...It is never boring or quiet with all of  our kids around!       Cooper has such a good time with his cousins..we are so happy to have such a fun and large family. It sure makes everything more fun..Can't wait to get together with Corbin's family at Thanksgiving and my family at Christmas.

Mexico is Angry

Hooray for Arizona...I wish all the states would be so bold!!!

MEXICO IS ANGRY!

Three cheers for Arizona

The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora, Mexico do not like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny.

The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico. It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off.

A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona's new Employer Sanctions Law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora, - Arizona's southern neighbor - made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.

The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes Arizona employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license.

The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on THEIR state government. 'How can Arizona pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales. 'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,' she said, speaking in Spanish. 'Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and who were sending money to their families return to their home-towns in Sonora without jobs,' she said. 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona.

Wrong! The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico , and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop feeding parasitically off the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs.

Too bad that other states within the USA don't pass a law just like that passed by Arizona. Maybe that's the answer, since our own Congress will do nothing!

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...

1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

2. All ballots will be in this nation's language.

3. All government business will be conducted in our language.

4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office.

6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

9. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

Too strict ?

The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO !

This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.

An idea whose time has come:

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform...in all of its forms.
Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. The self-serving must stop.
This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Have each person contact a minimum of Twenty people on their Address list, in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."

The Dallas Solution

I Got this in an E-mail but I posted it here for all to see. The immigration thing gets to me. I have absolutely no problem with immigration when done legally. My issue starts when they come and get our jobs, get our government funds, do not pay taxes, and don't learn our language. I mean it has to stop somewhere! I love this and think it should be done every where! I knew I loved Texans!!

The Dallas Solution

The president of his homeowners association in the Dallas, Texas suburbs reports they were having a terrible problem with litter near some of his association's homes. The reason is that six very large, luxurious new houses are being built right next to their community.

The trash was coming from the Mexican laborers working at the construction sites and included bags from McDonald's, Burger King and 7-11, plus coffee cups, napkins, cigarette butts, coke cans, empty bottles, etc. He went to see the site supervisor and even the general contractor, politely urging them to get their workers not to litter the neighborhood, to no avail. He called the city, county, and police and got no help there either.

So here's what his community did. They organized about twenty folks, named themselves The "Inner Neighborhood Services" group, and arranged to go out at lunch time and "police" the trash themselves. It is what they
did while picking up the trash that is so hilarious.

They bought navy blue baseball caps and had the initials "INS" embroidered in gold on the caps.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what they hoped people might mistakenly think the letters really stand for..

After the Inner Neighborhood Services group's first lunch time pickup detail, with all of them wearing their caps and some carrying cameras, 46 out of the total of 68 construction workers did not show up for work the next morning -- and haven't come back yet.

It has been ten days now.

The General Contractor, I'm told, is madder than hell, but can't say anything publicly because he could be busted for hiring illegal aliens. The HOA president and his bunch can't be accused of impersonating federal personnel, because they have the official name of the group recorded in their homeowner association minutes along with a notation about the vote to approve formation of the new subcommittee -- and besides, they informed
the INS in advance of their plans, and according to my friend, the INS said basically, "Have at it!"

SO, FOLKS, I THINK YOU COULD SAY THAT TEXAS INGENUITY TRIUMPHS AGAIN!

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes....... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you.

No apology for publishing this! ! ! After hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of
immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. I'm NOT sorry if this offends anyone because this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP. Come through like everyone else. APPLY FIRST - Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past --
and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

It is Time for America to Speak up.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer
an 'unlicensed pharmacist'

More art city days

These are just a few more pics from the aret city days. We finally have a whole family picture of us doing something fun! Thanks to Angie!!

Art City Days

Ok so I don't know how to get the photos to stand up right but oh well...The night after the sleep over was the annual Art City Days in Springville. Corbin and I met Chad and Angie there to pick up our little monster, and oh boy was it a good time. It was kind of chilly and pretty wet but it didn't rain on us while we were there, in fact it made it kind of nice because not very many people came out. The lines were really short and the kids got to do everything they wanted, multiple time and the best part was....Its FREE! Kyles cousisn Robin was such a big help too, the picture of them coming down the slide, she carried him up that 3 times. Corbin carried cooper up the slide 3 times at the 4th of July and said it was hard and Robin is I think like 8 or something. Any way she was such a big help to us! Cooper get to see the pig balloon and he and kyle got a picture with it. Cooper and Kyle are such good friends and it is fun to see them together. I think it is now going to be and annual event for the Emerick Clan!

1st Sleep over

Cooper had his first Sleep over! It was also the first time Cooper had been away over night from both parents. Normally I probably would have freaked out but I wasn't worried at all (about Cooper that is) being with Chad and Angie. We were a little hesitant to leave him for the fact of Chad and Angie's sanity. But we left him and they went to sleep watching Shrek which is Coopers fave movie right now. Cooper woke up and 4am and starting saying, "Kyle go, Kyle go"! Ha ha that did it, the other kids were awake and that meant so were Chad and Angie, all the while Corbin and I were getting plenty of ZZZZ's LOL...Thanks Snyders Cooper loved it and now look at the great memories of Coopers first sleep over...

Last month Corbin and Cooper made a trip up to see Corbins's parents. Cheri, Corbins mom took Cooper shopping and got him a couple of toys and a whole bunch of clothes. As you can tell they have been some of Coopers favorite toys. I absolutely love the picture of Cooper following his dad with the lawn mower. He always wants to do everything like daddy! The cute out fit in the picture with the fire truck is also from Cheri. We are so thankful for Jeri and Cheri and all they do for us and for Cooper. Thank you! You guys do so much for us.

Cooper has recently really found a new love in life, SHREK! He loves it and watches it all the time. Almost every morning he wakes up and asks "watch Shrek mom watch Donkey"..Ha ha and he sits there with his "Shrek Helmet" he calls it. He wore that helmet to the store the other day telling everyone its his shrek helmet. Hilarious, Corbin and I get such a kick out this kid!

Who woulda thought?

John Beck in Salina Utah for the 4th of July! we were getting Cooper lined up for the races when one of my friends parents told me John Beck was over there. I quickly told Corbin and I wish you could have seen his face light up. Corbin stood next to his wife so that we were right next to them in the race. Afterwards he went over and asked if he could get a picture. Corbin also went home to get Coopers BYU football from Kyle and got it signed. John was a really cool guy actually and stood and had a conversation with corbin about passed and current BYU players. It totally made Corbins Day! Salina is now on the map LOL...Probably the most exciting 4th yet for Corbin. He has been chomping at the bit for me to put this picture up so that everyone can see. So here it is!

4th of July 2010

Every 4th of July my mom gets a picture of the Grandkids. We were missing a few this year but next year we will have the whole crew. As you can tell Cooper missed nap time because of the games at the park. He did turn out to be pretty enjoyable! When it came time for the races Cooper got a slow start but he did beat John Becks son even though it looks like he is beating Cooper in the picture he actually turned back around to his mom. Watch out BYU here we come! In the last picture that is the back of Coopers head (great pic I know) but he was so excited to ride in the fire truck. I was a little worried that when it came right down to it he wouldn't ride in it but he did with a smile on his face. It was a great 4th, Cooper got to go down the blow up slide (which was probably more fun for his dad LOL), have a snow cone, Cotton candy which he promplty spit out in my lap, snatched up tons of candy at the parade and saw horses, trucks, motorcycles, and much more and last of all the fireworks that Cooper decided he didn't really care for this year. Now to look forward to next years experiences!

Cooper Age 2

My sister Jenny and Kim Hallows always take their kids different places and get the cutest pictures. The other day they were kind enough to let Cooper and I come along. We got so many cute pictures these are just a few, and just in time for Coopers 2nd birthday. I am so glad to have these I am the worst at taking pictures, printing them, blogging them, and especially getting them sent out to everyone. So hopefully these get to all the Grandma's and others who want them! Also thanks to Tammy Harrison for letting us use her beautiful yard and Grandma Emerick for getting the cute shirt! Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen!! What a little stud muffin...Corbin says he takes after him, but we all know the truth ;)...

fishing with daddy

On Memorial Day Corbin and I decided to drive to Fish Lake to go fishing and have lunch. Corbin called his brother Travis and he and his family came too. Cooper loved it and had so much fun throwing rocks in the water. Needless to say we didn't catch any fish. Although Kennedy hooked one but it got away before they could get a hold of it. As you can tell Cooper really loves his dad. He mimicks everything he does ;} We had a really great day and it was fun being with family. Hope we can do more of these activities in the future. It is so fun to see Cooper and Corbin together, corbin has his own little mini me...Wish I could have taken more pictures but my phone died, But all in all it was a Great Memorial Day!

Sprinkler fun

Cooper loves the water. He doesn't understand that you don't run through the sprinkler with clothes on. So the other day Cooper asked if he could play in the sprinkler, I invited Jenny's kids over and Cooper LOVED it! He is my water boy all right. In the bath tub his only toy is a plastic cup he uses to throw water on him. If I rinse him off any other way but dumping the water on his head he says "Head mom, head" and points where he wants the water. He has recently started laying his head down in the water. Needless to say I might be over protective around pools of water this year!

I have the best parents in the world! I am so grateful for everything they have done and are doing for Corbin and I. They really are such great people...Thanks for all you do we love you!!!

I love you Jesus...

Corbin and I, with Cooper have a little ritual before bed. We always say our family prayers and one of us helps him say it. Then Cooper and I sing songs and I ask him what song he wants to sing. The usual answer is uppa (Twinkle Twinkle little star) or Sunshine (you are my sunshine) then we give hugs and kisses and say i love you! Cooper has a picture of Jesus on his wall and tonight after he said Love you mommy, he turned to the picture and said, "I love you Jesus"! I said yes thats right and Jesus loves you, uh ha he says.. I love it...I hope he always remembers that and always remembers how much Jesus loves him..I guess that goes to show kids are paying attention.
Also today before church cooper came to me and said lets go mommy lets go. I said ok where are we going? Temple! How great...I love to see this little person and personality coming out..I love him so much I cant ever put it in to words to describe.. What a great Mothers day!

My new watch

My mom, Jenny, Wendy and I decided we would get crafty and creative and make out own watches! We got the beads and faces and clasps and everything and just went for it. It worked! I love my new watch and now I can make other bands. Although I think I will need another new face cause I went bold, daring and fun with mine instead of same old, boring, and plain! So here is my new watch...isn't it fun?
